Web.com hosting specializes in business class web hosting, including ecommerce, quality security and a good control panel. The company rationalizes their relatively higher cost is due to the fact that they are a higher quality company. They claim to be great for e-commerce, offering good security and Miva e-commerce options. While some of these claims are true, our research found that their poor customer service records more than wipes out any plusses Web.com has to offer.
Though Web.com offers some good basic services, we at TopTenReviews felt that their charges were not justified. Clients have complained that the services received were not equal to the fees required. Many also have reported multiple problems with billing issues, customer service and uptime of Web.com servers.
Overall, Web.com does offer some good basic services, but there are better options for web hosting.
